Sharc Attack DSP Audio Processor

Sharc Attack DSP Audio Processor

Sharc Attack DSP Information

When your application requires equalization, audio compression, audio limiting, or audio delay functions, you need the Sharc Attack DSP card. This card interchanges with the Lonecharc card in the two DSP card slots of the Audio Engine. Populated with 7 powerful Analog Devices Sharc DSPs, the card uses up to 32 bit floating point math to mix and process audio data with a capacity of 32 simultaneous processing channels. These processors connect to the I/O cards using a high speed 24 bit TDM data bus.

The internal sampling rate is user-selectable, either 32, 44.1 or 48 Khz. Use of the Sharc Attack provides a 4 band equalizer and compressor/limiter for up to 32 inputs and four mix buses. A boot eprom, which stores the engine's current configuration even during power failure, ensures a fast, accurate start-up (under 2 sec). The card's DRAM stores up to 30 seconds of audio - for use as profanity delay or for other software enabled delay functions. You will need a Sharc Attack card for each control surface requiring the advanced features. Sharc Attack and Lonesharc DSP cards may be mixed in one Audio Engine.
