Fox FM is the commercial radio station serving the famous University city of Oxford, and the ancient market town of Banbury. It first went on-air in September 1989, and the Numix system has been installed as part of a complete refitting of the studios originally installed when the station was first built.
Fox FM is owned by Capital Radio group, one of the top three groups in the UK, which also own Red Dragon Radio in Cardiff, which was Numix-equipped at the end of 2000. Fox-FM brings to 13 the total number of UK stations equipped with Logitek consoles, all but one being Numix. Logitek is now in use in 5 of the top UK radio groups, EMAP, Capital, GWR, Chrysalis and Scottish Radio Holdings.
The Logitek representative in the UK is Preco Broadcast Systems.
This is Studio A at Fox FM with a Numix Control Surface. All the functions and controls of the Numix are enhanced by custom menus and commands implemented by Supervisor and Command Builder software.
Installation of the Numix was carried out by Fox-FM's own engineers, with the commissioning carried out by Preco and Logitek engineers.
